There are so many aspects daily coming across the students at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg not being special to them anymore; so many sounds they hear each and every day that they never actually notice. That‘s why we made it our business to recollect those pictures and sounds again to create a new awareness of our environment. Exclusively using photos and sound samples collected on the premises of the Filmakademie, we tried to play around with our familiar surroundings in a subtle and abstract manner – showing things as never seen before. With the alienation of seemingly normal motives, e.g. infinite loops, optical illusions and match cuts we visually overstrain the public provoking a wow effect and an increased awareness for the daily routine.
